Blogging vs. Social Networks

July 16, 2006

Rod Boothby wrote an interesting post about blogs versus social networks in the business realm. One very interesting observation is that being that in the near future, insha’Allah, it will be normal for people to use their blogs like a business card, similar to how Scoble does, it would make sense that companies develop tools that allow workers to create blogs that share information with other workers.

In another blog John Dodd makes some great observations into the nature of blogs and social networks with a title that nicely sums it up: Co-Operative Crowds Versus Narcissistic Networks.
