Among the many points are:

  1. One-to-one interviews are generally much better than focus groups and can be very beneficial prior to using surveys.
  2. 95 percent of all cognition occurs in the subconscious mind and so “it is necessary to understand how consumers currently frame their experience of the problem addressed by the new offering
